TeliApp Initial 15k Seed Funding Round Complete
TeliApp Closes Initial 15k Seed Round
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NEW YORK, January 2, 2012
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, New York, January 2, 2012 – TeliApp, a new mobile app company that will focus on developing geo social networking apps, just announced that it has closed an initial seed funding round of 15k from friends and family. TeliApp’s Founder and CEO Joshua Weiss said “I’m very excited to get started. I’ve been dreaming about starting this company ever since I developed the app TravelerSOS for Palm Computing back in 2000. Now that I’ve completed this round, I can focus on my next mission, which is to assemble my team.” Josh said that he plans to reach out to long time friend and business associate, Michael Linetsky, to be TeliApp’s CTO. “Michael is in Belgium right now on an academic research grant, so it won’t be an easy task for him to move himself and his family of six back to the US. But I’m optimistic. Starting this company has been a shared dream of ours for the last twelve years.”
TeliApp’s mission is to develop geo social mobile apps that solve problems. While there are an abundance of geo social mobile apps that focus on passive introduction to people far away, there are no geo social apps that focus on active introduction within immediate, close and known proximities. TeliApp plans to develop a geo social platform that will be used to iterate relevant apps for four verticals.
