TeliApp Names Bingham McCutchen as Legal Counsel
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NEW YORK, December 18 2013
TeliApp, the developers that build geo social mobile applications with a focus on active introduction within immediate, close and known proximities, has selected Bingham McCutchen’s Emerging Growth Companies Group as its legal counsel.
Bingham has extensive experience in the intense, dynamic and complex environment of emerging growth companies in high-technology, information technology, media and other industries. Bingham’s Emerging Growth Companies Group includes a team that, together with its intellectual property, securities, tax, benefits and litigation lawyers, is dedicated to the special needs of emerging growth companies.
To serve the needs of today’s entrepreneur, this group comprises experienced, hands-on business counselors prepared to offer practical and cost-effective solutions to a variety of issues, which range from identifying sources of funding and people helpful to business growth, to assisting with the development of a business plan. Through this group, Bingham makes a long-term commitment to its clients and their businesses.
TeliApp will work with Bingham partner Michael Barron of the firm’s Boston office. “Michael and I met at a Funding Post event in mid-August and has been my point of contact,” said Joshua Weiss, TeliApp’s founder and CEO. “Over the last several months we’ve spent considerable time discussing the benefits of working together and I’m truly excited to work with Michael and his group. Working with a leading law firm such as Bingham is a huge milestone for a startup like mine. We consider ourselves extremely fortunate.”
Added Barron: “Josh is the type of entrepreneur who has the drive to succeed. TeliApp is developing exciting technology for our mobile world. We’re excited to be working together.”
TeliApp’s mission is to develop geo social mobile apps that solve problems. While there are an abundance of geo social mobile apps that focus on passive introduction to people far away, there are no geo social apps that focus on active introduction within immediate, close and known proximities. TeliApp plans to develop a geo social platform that will be used to iterate relevant apps for four verticals.
