We all love our iPhones, iPads and Macs. But contrary to popular belief, they are not immune from cybersecurity attacks. Even Apple TVs and Apple Watches can be attacked! 

The Challenge

Several nasty vulnerabilities (called CVE-2023-32434, CVE-2023-32435, and CVE-2023-32439) exist that could allow for arbitrary code execution. This means that depending on the situation, a hacker could install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights without you realizing. Below is a list of the devices, software and the versions that remain vulnerable to this particular attack. 
  • iPhones & iPads - anything prior to 16.5.1
  • Apple Watch - anything prior to 9.5.2
  • Mac - Big Sur prior to 11.7.8, Monterey prior to 12.6.7, Ventura prior to 13.14.1

The Solution

Thankfully, there’s a quick solution. When you see badges and update notifications on your different Apple devices and apps, don’t ignore them! Instead, take 10 minutes and run the updates to make sure that everything is always updated to the latest versions.
